Real-Life Alignment
Real-world intelligence Marines and officers support commanders by collecting, processing, analyzing, producing, and disseminating intelligence. Their work helps identify enemy capabilities, terrain effects, civil considerations, and information gaps before and during operations.
Current SOTF / V35 Use
On the current SOTF site, this MOS family supports the V35/SOTF planning cycle, Helmand deployment archive, reconnaissance reporting, command briefs, and command-profile documentation.
Unit Association
This MOS is currently associated on the website with SOTF / V35 Intelligence Cell. Future member profiles should use the background image tied to the member's assigned unit association.
Command Profile Rule
When this MOS appears on a command profile, the profile must preserve the member's rank, unit, and MOS at the time of each billet, award, citation, or deployment. Current MOS changes should not overwrite older deployment history.
SOTF Responsibilities
These responsibilities mirror the real-world function of the MOS while keeping it usable inside SOTF MISFIT operations.
Prepare intelligence summaries for mission briefs.
Track enemy disposition, routes, patterns, likely objectives, and terrain factors.
Turn patrol reports and after-action notes into useful planning information.
Support target development, reconnaissance priorities, and commander decision-making.
Maintain intelligence products without overloading squads during live operations.
Pipeline Progression
This pipeline separates real-world alignment from how SOTF will apply the role in-game.
Real-life officer route: officer accession, The Basic School, then intelligence-specific formal training before assignment to the operating forces.
Real-life enlisted route: recruit training, combat skills foundation when applicable, then formal intelligence MOS training.
SOTF route: unit orientation, report-format familiarization, mission brief support, and intelligence-cell assignment.
Advanced SOTF route: HUMINT/CI, intelligence chief, or command staff planning billets when rank and trust support it.
Operational Employment
This MOS should be used when it gives the member a real task inside the formation. The role should support the commander, squad, airwing, recon team, medical section, or staff element in a way that matches the real-world purpose of the MOS.
Website Integration Notes
Command profiles using this MOS should follow the Kane West format: profile picture, rank and callsign, current role, deployment or prior-rank history where applicable, MOS/ADMOS, billet history, biography, qualifications, awards, citations, and a unit-associated background image.
Association
SOTF / V35 Intelligence Cell
This MOS page is built to match real-life USMC or attached-service function while preserving the current SOTF MISFIT story: V35 heritage, Helmand deployment history, 2nd Recon / Force Recon association, HMLA-269 airwing association, Navy Medicine, and AFSOC attachment roles where applicable.
